Samsung Galaxy M13 used and refurbished

The Galaxy M13 is a 2022 Samsung that, despite its low price, got a sharp 6.6-inch Full HD+ screen. Text in the browser and subtitles in films look crisp on it, and the body is only 8.4 mm thick despite the 5000 mAh battery. For email, messaging apps and maps, it's a comfortable, big phone.

What can the Galaxy M13 do?

The PLS LCD display has 1080 × 2408 pixels, so photos and small fonts look clean. At the top there's a U-shaped notch for the front camera. There's one speaker, but with wired headphones that's no problem, because the 3.5 mm jack is still there.

The back and frame are plastic, and the phone weighs 192 grams. The fingerprint reader is in the power button on the side. The version sold in Europe has NFC, so you can add your card and pay with your phone at the checkout.

Processor, cameras and battery

The Exynos 850 with 4 GB of RAM does the work here. The browser, YouTube, email and messaging apps run without major hiccups, although the phone can hesitate when you switch apps quickly. Simpler games are fine, new 3D titles not so much. The rear cameras are a 50 MP main, a 5 MP ultra-wide and a 2 MP depth sensor. Selfies and video calls are handled by an 8 MP camera.

The 5000 mAh battery lasts a day with normal use, and even longer if you go easy on it. Wired charging over USB-C runs at 15 W; there's no wireless charging.

What should you check before buying?

At 15 W, fully charging a 5000 mAh battery takes noticeably longer than on phones with fast charging, so the most convenient option is to plug it in overnight. The built-in storage is eMMC, slower than the UFS in pricier phones, but the microSD card has its own slot, separate from the two SIM cards. This model has no 5G modem – the phone connects over LTE.

The Galaxy M13 launched with Android 12 and received two major updates, up to and including Android 14 with One UI 6. It didn't make the cut for One UI 7, and in July 2026 Samsung removed it from the list of devices covered by security patches. The phone still works, but new vulnerabilities will no longer be fixed, and some banking apps may refuse to cooperate over time. It works well as a phone for a teenager or an older relative, or as a backup for navigation and music. The Galaxy M14 5G has a 6000 mAh battery and 5G support.

Before a Galaxy M13 is put on sale as refurbished, it goes through a 44-point checklist, including:

• display – touch sensitivity, brightness and no dead pixels;
• battery – health and any deformation;
• each of the cameras, rear and front;
• the fingerprint reader in the side button;
• Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and the NFC module;
• SIM and microSD slots;
• speaker, microphone, headphone output and USB-C port.
