Google Pixel 8 Pro used and refurbished
The Google Pixel 8 Pro is a phone for people who take photos more often than they make calls. It has three cameras, including a 48-megapixel telephoto with 5x optical zoom, a flat 6.7-inch screen and a matte glass back. The large display also makes it comfortable to read a document or watch a match.
At SWOPiFY you'll find used and refurbished Google Pixel 8 Pro phones in 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB versions, in obsidian, porcelain, blue and mint. SWOPiFY's partners run a technical check on every unit before it goes on offer, and any handset with a fault gets repaired first.
What can the Pixel 8 Pro do?
Super Actua is an LTPO OLED panel with a resolution of 1344 × 2992 that adjusts its own refresh rate anywhere from 1 to 120 Hz. Brightness reaches 1600 nits in HDR and 2400 nits at peak. Sound comes from two stereo speakers. The frame is polished aluminium, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 covers the screen and the back. The IP68 rating means it's dustproof and can handle being submerged to 1.5 m for half an hour.
On the camera bar, Google added an infrared temperature sensor – point it at a frying pan, a mug of tea or your baby's bottle of milk. Inside there's also UWB and Wi-Fi 7. You can unlock the phone with the optical fingerprint sensor under the screen or with your face, and face unlock is secure enough even for banking apps. The Titan M2 chip guards your login data, NFC takes care of contactless payments, and you can keep a second number on an eSIM.
Processor, cameras and battery
It's powered by the Tensor G3 with 12 GB of RAM, so several open apps and long camera sessions won't clog up the memory. On the back there's a 50 MP main camera, next to it a 48 MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom, plus a 48 MP ultrawide. Digital Super Res Zoom lets you get up to 30× closer. The 10.5 MP front camera has autofocus. Manual Pro controls let you set shutter speed and ISO yourself, and Video Boost processes your footage in Google's data centres and enables Night Sight Video for shooting at night.
The battery is 5050 mAh. Over a cable, the Pixel 8 Pro charges at up to 30 W and gets to roughly half in 30 minutes. On the Pixel Stand (2nd gen), it charges wirelessly at up to 23 W.
What should you keep in mind before buying?
At 162.6 × 76.5 mm and 213 g, this is a two-handed phone. You can only connect headphones via USB-C or Bluetooth, there's no memory card slot, and you'll need your own charger. Google rolled out body temperature measurement in the US after FDA clearance – before you count on it, check whether it works in your country. Video Boost needs an internet connection and backup to Google Photos. The Tensor G3 also has a reputation for running warm easily.
You won't be short of updates. Google gives it seven years of new Android versions and patches, starting from October 2023, when it went on sale in the US Google Store – support will last until October 2030. It launched with Android 14, and since June 2026 you can install Android 17 on it. If you don't need a telephoto lens, the smaller Pixel 8 with its 6.2-inch screen is 26 g lighter.
You can filter Pixel 8 Pro handsets by:
- storage – 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB;
- RAM – 12 GB;
- colour;
- price range;
- condition.
Full-resolution 50 MP photos and 4K videos fill up storage fast. If you shoot in Pro mode and don't pay for cloud storage, choose 256 GB or 512 GB.
What does the technical check involve?
Before a Pixel 8 Pro goes on sale as refurbished, it goes through a 44-point checklist, including:
- display – touch response across the whole surface, pixels, cracks and scratches;
- battery – health and physical condition;
- three rear cameras including the telephoto, plus the autofocus front camera;
- in-display fingerprint sensor and face recognition;
- connectivity – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC;
- nano SIM card and eSIM profile;
- both speakers, microphones, USB-C port and both charging methods.
Can you trust a refurbished Pixel 8 Pro?
A refurbished Google Pixel 8 Pro from SWOPiFY is a used phone that SWOPiFY's partners have tested and, when necessary, repaired. We don't call it new, and we never suggest it's coming to you straight from the factory.
Every order comes with a warranty. The condition of the body, screen and battery is described by one of four grades: Premium, Excellent, Good or Fair. So it's easy to decide whether to pay a little more for a flawless unit or save some money.
