What does the technical inspection involve?
Every unit goes through a 44-point quality check before it goes back on sale. Among other things, SWOPiFY partners check:
- the screen, how it works and how it looks;
- the battery and its health;
- the keyboard and touchpad;
- ports and connectors;
- WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity;
- overall performance.
If a laptop needs repairing, the parts used are either new original components or parts salvaged from other devices and tested by specialists beforehand. The process is run by SWOPiFY partners, who are selected and vetted by the platform, not by SWOPiFY itself. That way every refurbished laptop goes through the same inspection standard, no matter where it came from.
