A small Android flagship is an increasingly rare sight. Screens grow with every generation, yet at 167 g and 7.2 mm thick the Galaxy S26 can still be used one-handed with your thumb. Samsung added a tenth of an inch, but didn't turn it into yet another big phone.

In this category you'll find the used and refurbished Samsung Galaxy S26 – the standard model of this generation, without the Plus, Ultra or FE label. The page lists 256 GB and 512 GB versions in six colours. SWOPiFY partners check every unit before it goes on sale and send it in for repair when needed.

What exactly does the Galaxy S26 have?

The screen is a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with FHD+ resolution, a refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz and 2600 nits peak brightness. There's Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and back, the frame is aluminium and the body is rated IP68.

The European version runs on the Exynos 2600, a chip built on a 2 nm process, backed by 12 GB of RAM in every configuration. On the back there are three cameras: a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, a 12 MP ultra-wide and a 10 MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. The front camera is 12 MP with autofocus.

The battery is 4300 mAh. According to Samsung, 25 W wired charging gets you to 55% in half an hour, and wireless charging runs at 15 W. Colours on offer are violet, blue, black, white, silver and pink gold.

S26 or S26 Plus? And what's changed since the S25?

The S26 Plus has the same chip, the same amount of RAM and identical cameras. The differences are in size: 6.7 inches in QHD+, a 4900 mAh battery, 45 W charging and a weight of 190 g. If you watch and game a lot, the Plus makes sense. If you mainly want a phone that sits comfortably in your hand, the standard S26 will do.

Compared with the S25, the changes are modest. The screen has grown from 6.2 to 6.3 inches, the battery from 4000 to 4300 mAh and the weight from 162 to 167 g. In Europe the Snapdragon 8 Elite has been replaced by the Exynos 2600, and the base version now has 256 GB instead of 128 GB. The cameras and charging power haven't changed. Even so, in GSMArena's tests the S26 lasted noticeably longer and charged to full around 13 minutes faster. If price is what matters most to you, a refurbished S25 will take the same photos. What you pay extra for with the S26 is mainly the better battery and an extra year of support.

Why consider a refurbished Galaxy S26?

A refurbished Galaxy S26 costs less than a new one, and you get a phone with this year's chip and almost the entire support period still ahead of it. You can spend the savings on the 512 GB version, or on a decent case and a charger, which doesn't come in the box with this model.

Compact phones often get swapped quickly because someone missed having a bigger screen. A unit like that doesn't have to end up in a drawer. Buying a refurbished phone isn't fully green, but working hardware stays in use instead of becoming e-waste too early.

What should you look out for with the Galaxy S26?

In GSMArena's tests the Exynos 2600 was around 10% faster than the S25 in multi-core tasks, but in single-core it performed on par with last year's chips. Under sustained load it loses quite a bit of performance, much like its predecessor. You won't notice it day to day, but you will in long gaming sessions.

The S26 is Qi2-ready, but it has no built-in magnets, so you'll need a magnetic case for magnetic mounts and chargers. The battery here is the smallest in the whole series, so check the description to see what battery health the condition grade assumes.

In this category you can filter smartphones by:

  • storage – 256 GB or 512 GB;
  • RAM – 12 GB in every version;
  • colour;
  • price range;
  • condition.

If you keep your photos in the cloud, 256 GB is plenty. Go for 512 GB if you shoot a lot of 4K or 8K video – there's no microSD slot to add more.

Can you trust a refurbished Galaxy S26?

A refurbished Samsung Galaxy S26 is a used phone, even when it looks fresh out of the box. We don't sell it as new and never suggest otherwise. SWOPiFY partners check every unit against a 44-point checklist – from the screen and battery to the fingerprint reader and face recognition, cameras, connectivity and ports. Its condition is described by one of four grades: Premium, Excellent, Good or Fair.

Your purchase comes with a warranty. If something stops working, you know who to turn to, which is usually missing when you buy from a classified ad.

Got a phone you'd like to trade in for the S26?

Sell it through the trade-in programme and the amount will bring down the cost of your new purchase. No need to post an ad or arrange meetings with buyers.
