Realme started out in 2018 as an offshoot of Oppo and quickly made a name for itself with one idea: give you as much spec as possible for as little money as possible. Fast charging, high-refresh-rate screens and powerful chips in phones that cost a fraction of a flagship. A few years on, those same models come back onto the second-hand market and get cheaper still.
In this category you'll find used and refurbished Realme phones – from the high-performance GT series, through the numbered series with its Pro and Pro Plus versions, to the budget C and Narzo models. Before it's sold again, every phone gets a technical check from SWOPiFY partners, who also repair it if needed.
Which Realme phones will you find in this category?
The GT series is for people who want power. The Realme GT 5G, GT 2 and GT 2 Pro, plus the GT Master, GT Neo 2, GT Neo 3 and GT Neo 3T, have fast processors and very quick charging – the GT Neo 3 even comes in a 150W version. Gaming, video editing or a dozen apps open at once are all in a day's work for them.
The numbered series – from the Realme 6 and 7, through the 8 5G, 8i, 9 5G and 9 Pro, to the 10, 11 Pro, 12 and 12 Pro Plus – sits in the middle of the pack. The Pro Plus versions put more weight on the camera and design. You'll also come across the older X2 and X50 5G, as well as the X2 Pro, the brand's flagship in its day.
The C models – C11 (2021), C21, C25Y, C33, C51, C53 and C55 – and the Narzo 50i Prime are the simplest phones in the category. Good as a child's first smartphone or a spare phone.
Why consider a refurbished Realme phone?
A refurbished Realme phone costs less than the same model bought new. With a brand that's already cheap, the saving lets you reach the GT series for the money a new C-series model would cost. Flagship performance from a few years ago is often enough for a long time.
Then there's the question of waste. A working phone that changes hands doesn't end up as e-waste, and no new one has to be made to replace it. We won't call that a fully green purchase, because that's an oversimplification. It's more a common-sense use of hardware someone has already produced.
What should you check before buying?
For years Realme used its realme UI skin, closely based on Oppo's ColorOS. In 2026 the brand came back under Oppo's wing and is switching to ColorOS 17 – from the end of October the newest models are getting the update first, also in Europe. It's not yet clear which older phones will get it, and some models in this category no longer receive new Android versions. If updates matter to you, check the system version on the product page.
In this category you can filter phones by:
- storage – from 32 GB to 1 TB;
- RAM – from 2 GB to 12 GB;
- colour;
- price range;
- condition.
For gaming, go for the GT series. If you take a lot of photos, consider the 11 Pro or 12 Pro Plus. Phones with 32 GB of storage, like some C11 and Narzo 50i Prime units, are better suited to simple tasks – if you use more apps, pick 128 GB from the start.
What does the technical check involve?
Before a Realme goes back on sale, it goes through a 44-point checklist. The check covers, among other things:
- the screen – touch response and surface condition;
- the battery – health and physical condition;
- the cameras – every lens on the device;
- the fingerprint reader and face recognition;
- connectivity – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC;
- SIM card detection;
- microphone and speakers;
- ports and connectors, including the charging port.
The checks are carried out by SWOPiFY partners. They're the ones who decide whether a phone needs repairing before it appears in the listings.
Can you trust refurbished Realme phones?
The refurbished Realme phones in this category are used devices, technically checked and, where needed, repaired by SWOPiFY partners. They're not new phones, and we never suggest they are.
Every handset comes with a warranty and a condition grade: Premium, Very good, Good or Fair. So you know in advance whether the body shows signs of use, and you compare offers by their actual condition, not just by price.
