The Galaxy A12 Nacho (SM-A127F) is a phone with an Exynos 850 processor, a 5000 mAh battery and a 6.5-inch screen, launched by Samsung in August 2021. In Poland it went on sale in October 2021, and some shops and websites described it as the Galaxy A12 2021. It's a big phone for everyday tasks that rarely needs plugging into a charger.

At SWOPiFY you'll find used and refurbished Samsung Galaxy A12 Nacho phones in 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB versions, in white, black and blue. Before a unit is listed, SWOPiFY partners check it, and when something needs a repair, the repair shop takes care of it.

What can the Galaxy A12 Nacho do?

The PLS display is 6.5 inches with HD+ resolution (720 × 1600 pixels). The big picture is handy for maps, films and video calls, though letters aren't as crisp as on Full HD screens. The phone has a single speaker and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. There's also FM radio with the option to record broadcasts.

The front is covered with glass, and the back and frame are plastic. The phone weighs 205 g, is 8.9 mm thick and has no water-resistance rating. The fingerprint reader is built into the side power button. The model sold in Poland has NFC, so you can pay contactless with it. It takes two nano-SIM cards and a microSD card at the same time.

Processor, cameras and battery

The Exynos 850 is an eight-core chip built on an 8 nm process. In the Polish version it's paired with 4 GB of RAM, and some units have 3 GB. There's enough power for messaging apps, YouTube, navigation and online shopping, but the phone isn't fast: apps open with a noticeable delay, and in games you have to lower the settings. On the back there are four cameras: a 48 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultra-wide, a 2 MP macro and a 2 MP depth sensor. Selfies are taken with an 8 MP camera.

The 5000 mAh battery is its strongest point. With normal use it lasts a full day with some to spare, and even longer if you go easy on it. Wired charging over USB-C is 15 W, so a full top-up takes quite a while. There's no wireless charging.

What should you check before buying?

The built-in storage is the slower eMMC type, and in the 32 GB version there's little room left for data after system updates. The separate microSD slot helps – you can save photos and videos straight to the card. The screen refreshes at the standard rate, without the smoothness of 90 or 120 Hz.

Support for this model has already ended. The Galaxy A12 Nacho got two major updates and finished on Android 13 with One UI 5.1, and Samsung released the last patch package for the Polish version in October 2024. Vulnerabilities discovered later won't be fixed, and banking apps may stop supporting this phone over time. That's why it's best as a phone for a child or an older relative, a backup device or a phone for navigation in the car. The original Galaxy A12 with the MediaTek Helio P35 chip stopped at Android 12.

You can filter Galaxy A12 Nacho units by:

  • storage – 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB;
  • RAM – 3 GB or 4 GB;
  • colour;
  • price range;
  • condition.

If you can, choose 64 GB or 128 GB. The 32 GB version is enough for calls and WhatsApp, but with photos from the 48 MP camera and a few bigger apps you'll quickly feel short of space.

How does the technical check work?

Before a Galaxy A12 Nacho goes on sale as refurbished, it goes through a 44-point checklist, including:

  • screen – touch response, brightness, dead pixels, condition of the glass;
  • battery – health and any physical damage;
  • all rear and front cameras;
  • fingerprint reader in the power button;
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and mobile signal;
  • detection of both SIM cards and the microSD card;
  • USB-C port, 3.5 mm jack, speaker and microphones.

Can you trust a refurbished Galaxy A12 Nacho?

A refurbished Samsung Galaxy A12 Nacho from SWOPiFY is a used phone, checked by SWOPiFY partners and – where needed – repaired. We don't sell it as brand new and never suggest that it is.

Your order is covered by a warranty. The condition grade – Premium, Excellent, Good or Fair – tells you what the body of a given unit looks like and what shape its battery is in. So you can choose a unit with barely a mark on it or save money on a phone with a few scratches.

Got an old smartphone you no longer use?

Sell it to us through the trade-in programme – the amount you get comes off the price of your purchase. You don't have to write adverts or wait for a buyer, and a phone that's been lying around at home goes back into use.
