The Galaxy A13 5G is a phone with a 5G modem and a 90 Hz screen that Samsung unveiled at the end of 2021. Scrolling through messages and web pages feels smooth, and when you're in 5G coverage you can download offline maps or an episode for the journey faster. A 5000 mAh battery and a fingerprint reader in the side button round off a simple, practical package.
At SWOPiFY you'll find used and refurbished Samsung Galaxy A13 5G phones in 64 GB and 128 GB versions, in black, white, blue and orange, including a single-SIM variant. Before anything goes on sale, SWOPiFY partners run a technical check on every unit, and any that need it are repaired first.
What can the Galaxy A13 5G do?
The LCD screen measures 6.5 inches and has HD+ resolution, which means 720 × 1600 pixels. Text and photos look less sharp than on Full HD panels, but for messaging apps, emails and YouTube videos it's enough. The 90 Hz refresh rate keeps your chat list or Facebook feed moving without stutter. There's a single speaker on the bottom edge.
The body is plastic and has no water-resistance rating, so it's best kept away from rain and water. The fingerprint reader sits in the power button. The phone supports NFC, so you can use it for contactless payments.
Processor, cameras and battery
It runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 700 with 4 GB of RAM. The chip has two faster Cortex-A76 cores and copes well with everyday tasks: the browser, YouTube, navigation and simple games all run without trouble. Heavier 3D games will need lower settings. There are three cameras on the back: a 50 MP main sensor plus two 2 MP helpers, one for macro and one for background blur. There's no ultra-wide lens. On the front you get a 5 MP camera, which is fine for video calls.
With moderate use, the 5000 mAh battery lasts a full day. Wired charging tops out at 15 W, so the easiest option is to plug the phone in overnight. There's no wireless charging.
What should you check before buying?
The biggest compromise is the HD screen – if you read a lot on your phone or browse photos, the picture will look less detailed. On the plus side, there's a dedicated microSD slot that's separate from the SIM cards, and a classic 3.5 mm headphone jack. Bear in mind too that 5G only works where your operator has 5G coverage. Outside it, the phone uses LTE.
The software situation is clear. The Galaxy A13 5G ended its journey on Android 14 with One UI 6, and Samsung released the last update for the European version in March 2026. Since then there have been no new security patches, and you shouldn't expect any. The phone still works, but without patches the risk grows when you use mobile banking, and over time some apps may stop supporting it. That makes this model a sensible choice as a second phone, a device for a child, a simple smartphone for an older relative or a sat nav in the car. If you want updates for longer, take a look at the Galaxy A14 5G, which still gets them.
You can filter Galaxy A13 5G units by:
- storage – 64 GB or 128 GB;
- RAM – usually 4 GB;
- colour;
- price range;
- condition.
The 128 GB version is the better pick if you keep photos and offline music on your phone. With 64 GB you can easily add space with a microSD card, since it doesn't take the slot for a second number.
What does the technical check involve?
Before a Galaxy A13 5G goes on sale as refurbished, it goes through a 44-point checklist, including:
- screen – touch, brightness, dead pixels and scratches on the glass;
- battery – health and physical condition of the cell;
- rear and front cameras;
- fingerprint reader in the side button;
- connectivity – 5G and LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC;
- SIM and memory card detection;
- speaker, microphones, 3.5 mm jack and USB-C port.
Can you trust a refurbished Galaxy A13 5G?
A refurbished Samsung Galaxy A13 5G from SWOPiFY is a used phone – tested by SWOPiFY partners and repaired where needed. We don't present it as new and never suggest that it is.
Your purchase comes with a warranty, and the condition of each unit – how the body looks and how healthy the battery is – is described by one of four grades: Premium, Excellent, Good or Fair. If the phone is going to be a spare or a child's phone, scratches on the body usually don't matter, so you can go for a lower grade.
