When we say that the console is refurbished it means it has been used before but has been restored to full working condition. Our partners carefully inspect, clean, test and replace any necessary parts to ensure it functions properly. However we cannot guarantee that it will look brand new that all components are original or that its original water resistance is maintained.
The PS4 Slim is not more powerful than the original PS4 since both use the same processor and graphics chip, so game performance is the same. The main differences are in the design and efficiency. The Slim is smaller, lighter, consumes less power and usually runs more quietly. It also supports 5 GHz Wi-Fi which offers a more stable connection. If you prefer a quieter and more compact console the PS4 Slim is a better choice but it does not offer extra power compared to the original.
Buying a PS4 Slim is still worth it, especially if you want a reliable console at a reasonable price. It runs smoothly, offers access to a huge library of games and works well for gaming, streaming and entertainment. Refurbished versions are more affordable than new ones and our partners carefully test and restore them. Keep in mind that the console may not look brand new, not all parts may be original and we cannot guarantee water resistance. If you want good quality without overspending, the PS4 Slim is a smart choice.
The PS4 Slim was released in September 2016, which makes it about nine years old. Despite its age it remains a popular console thanks to its solid performance, quiet operation and access to a huge library of games at a reasonable price.
There is no single version of the PS4 that is the best for everyone because it depends on what you need. The PS4 Slim is a great option if you want a quieter, smaller console that consumes less power. The PS4 Pro is better if you own a 4K TV and want higher resolution and more detailed graphics. The original PS4 is an older model that still works well but is less common now. Your choice depends on whether you value compactness and efficiency or stronger performance and visuals.
The PS4 Slim does not support native 4K. It runs games at a maximum resolution of 1080p, so it cannot display true 4K like the PS4 Pro. However, it can be connected to a 4K TV, which will upscale the image on its own, allowing games to still look sharp and detailed even if not in full 4K resolution.
To clean the PS4 Slim, start by turning off the console and unplugging all cables. Wipe the surface with a soft microfiber cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. You can use compressed air to clean the vents, keeping the can upright and at a safe distance to avoid damaging internal parts. If you want to clean inside, carefully remove the top cover and use short bursts of air while holding the fan still. Avoid moisture and cleaning products, as they may damage the console. Wait a few hours after cleaning before reconnecting it.
The PS4 Slim is usually available in two main versions with either 500 GB or 1 TB of storage. Both provide enough space for games, apps and data, but the 1 TB version is a better choice if you like having many titles installed at once. For refurbished consoles it is always good to check the specific product description since our partners may use drives of similar but varying capacity.
To eject a disc from the PS4 Slim, press the eject button located on the front of the console next to the disc slot. The disc will slide out slightly and you can remove it gently by holding the edges to avoid fingerprints. If the button does not work or the disc is stuck, turn off the console, unplug it and use the manual eject option. Turn the console upside down, locate the small manual eject hole, insert a thin Phillips screwdriver and slowly turn it counterclockwise until the disc comes out.
