The Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel brightens up to 800 nits in sunlight. Blacks are deep, and the 120 Hz smoothness really shows in games and when scrolling. Processor, cameras and battery
The 6 nm Snapdragon 778G is the strongest part of this phone. Combined with 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM (depending on the version), it handles multitasking and most games, as long as you don't max out the graphics. On the back there's a 64 MP main camera with optical stabilisation, a 12 MP ultra-wide lens, a 5 MP macro and a 5 MP depth sensor. The 32 MP front camera records 4K video.
The 4500 mAh cell lasts a day with typical use, although intensive gaming at 120 Hz cuts that time. Wired charging is 25 W. There's no wireless charging.
What should you check before buying?
The Galaxy A52s 5G has a hybrid slot: either two SIM cards, or one card and a microSD. The headphone jack is still there, which isn't a given with this processor and a water-resistance rating. A smaller drawback is the battery – during long gaming sessions, 4500 mAh can run out before the evening.
This model no longer gets updates. It ended on Android 14, and in October 2025 Samsung removed it from its security patch schedule. The phone keeps working, but new vulnerabilities will remain unpatched, and over time some apps, especially banking ones, may stop supporting it. Despite the fast processor, it's better treated as a spare phone, a device for a child or an older relative, or for basic tasks.
