What does the Galaxy Z Flip6 offer?
The inner screen is 6.7 inches with a 120 Hz refresh rate and, according to Samsung, reaches up to 2600 nits of peak brightness. The FlexWindow on the outside is 3.4 inches and 60 Hz. Besides widgets and notifications, it will suggest ready-made replies to messages prepared by Galaxy AI. When you stand the half-folded phone on a table, the rear camera's Auto Zoom feature frames the shot by itself.
The processor is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, in the European version too, with 12 GB of RAM. Heat is drawn away by a vapour chamber – the first in Flip history. The main camera is 50 MP with optical stabilisation, alongside a 12 MP ultra-wide, and there's a 10 MP selfie camera in the inner screen. The battery is 4000 mAh and charges at 25 W wired or 15 W wireless. An IP48 rating means water resistance plus protection against objects of 1 mm and larger. Samsung itself points out that the phone is not resistant to dust or sand.
The Flip6 between the Flip5 and Flip7
Compared with the Flip5, quite a lot changes, even if you can't see it from the outside:
- a 50 MP main camera instead of 12 MP;
- a 4000 mAh battery instead of 3700 mAh;
- 12 GB of RAM instead of 8 GB, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 instead of the 8 Gen 2;
- IP48 instead of IPX8;
- seven years of system updates instead of four major One UI versions.
The 2025 Flip7 went further: its cover screen is 4.1 inches and reaches the edges of the lid, the inner one is 6.9 inches, the battery is 4300 mAh, and folded the phone is 13.7 mm thick. It runs on an Exynos 2500. It does cost more, though, and the Flip6's FlexWindow is enough for most quick tasks. If you care about photos and long support at a reasonable price, the Flip6 is a better choice than the Flip5, while the Flip7 pays off mainly if you want bigger screens.
Why consider a refurbished Flip6?
A refurbished Galaxy Z Flip6 costs less than a new one, and with seven years of support you're buying a phone with several more years of updates ahead of it.

That leaves the physical side. The crease on the inner screen is normal. Don't peel off the factory protective film on this screen – if it starts to lift, have a service centre replace it. Check that the hinge holds the phone steadily at an angle, because Auto Zoom shots depend on it. IP48 won't stop dust, so don't carry the phone in a pocket full of sand.
