Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra used and refurbished
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is a phone with a stylus tucked into its body and a 6.9-inch screen where jotting a note or sketching is easier than with your finger. A titanium frame, four rear cameras and a 5000 mAh battery make it a device for work, travel and photography. All of that comes with some weight, though – literally 218 g.

What can the Galaxy S25 Ultra do?
The Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen has QHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, which the phone lowers when the image isn't moving. It's protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2 glass with an anti-reflective coating, so in sunlight you see more of the content and less of yourself. Sound comes from two stereo speakers. The ultrasonic fingerprint reader sits under the screen.
The frame is titanium, the back is covered with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and the body is IP68 rated – according to the manufacturer, it can survive half an hour at a depth of 1.5 metres. The S Pen lives in the bottom edge. You can write and draw with it more precisely than with your finger, but on this model the stylus has no Bluetooth: you can't use it as a remote shutter or for Air Actions gestures. The phone supports NFC for contactless payments, eSIM and UWB.
Processor, cameras and battery
Every version, the European one included, runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy with 12 GB of RAM. Demanding games, video editing and Galaxy AI features are no trouble for it. On the back there are four cameras: a 200 MP main camera with optical stabilisation, a 50 MP ultra-wide and two telephotos – a 10 MP with 3x optical zoom and a 50 MP periscope with 5x zoom. You can record video in up to 8K. Selfies are handled by a 12 MP camera.
The battery is 5000 mAh. Wired charging runs at 45 W – up to 65% in half an hour, according to GSMArena – and wireless at 15 W. It also has reverse charging, so you can top up your earbuds or watch from it.
What should you look out for before buying?
The Galaxy S25 Ultra has no 3.5 mm headphone jack and no microSD slot, so you can't expand the storage later. No charger came in the original box, and you'll only get the full 45 W with a USB PD PPS compatible power adapter. Think about the size, too: 6.9 inches and 218 g is a lot in your pocket and when typing with one hand.
Updates are a strong point. Samsung has promised seven major Android updates and seven years of security patches for this model. The phone launched in January 2025 with Android 15 and One UI 7, and since October 2026 units in Europe have been getting stable Android 17 with One UI 9. Security patches are due to keep coming until 2032. The newer Galaxy S26 Ultra charges faster, at 60 W, and has a Privacy Display filter, but its frame is aluminium rather than titanium.

Photos from the 200 MP sensor and 8K recordings fill up space fast, and you can't add a memory card here. If you shoot a lot of video, go for 512 GB or 1 TB. If your photos end up in the cloud, 256 GB will last you for years.
What does the technical check involve?
Before a Galaxy S25 Ultra goes on sale as refurbished, it goes through a 44-point checklist, including:
- screen – touch, brightness, dead pixels and the condition of the Gorilla Armor 2 glass;
- battery – health and the physical state of the cell;
- all cameras – the four rear ones and the front one;
- the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader;
- connectivity – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC;
- SIM card detection and eSIM operation;
- stereo speakers, microphones and the USB-C port.
