Samsung Galaxy A33 used and refurbished
The Galaxy A33 5G is a handy smartphone with a 6.4-inch screen that's easy to use with one hand. It has a Super AMOLED display with a 90 Hz refresh rate, a water- and dust-resistant body and a 5000 mAh battery that keeps going through a busy day with the phone in your hand. It's a device for messaging, photos, maps and payments – with no unnecessary extras.
At SWOPiFY you'll find used and refurbished Samsung Galaxy A33 5G phones with 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, with one or two SIM cards, in black, white, blue and orange. SWOPiFY partners check every unit technically, and a phone with a fault goes to a repair centre first and only then on sale.
What can the Galaxy A33 5G do?
The screen has Full HD+ resolution, deep blacks and the rich colours typical of AMOLED panels. Scrolling at 90 Hz is noticeably smoother than on a regular 60 Hz panel, and Gorilla Glass 5 protects the front from scratches. Samsung fitted two stereo speakers, so a YouTube video or a speakerphone call comes through clearly. The fingerprint reader is under the display.
The back and frame are plastic, so the phone isn't slippery, and the body meets the IP67 standard – it will survive dust and submersion up to a metre deep for 30 minutes. The NFC module lets you pay contactlessly with the phone in shops and on public transport.
Processor, cameras and battery
The Exynos 1280 keeps things running – with 6 GB of RAM in the 128 GB version and 8 GB of RAM in the 256 GB version. That's enough performance for social media, email, banking and navigation, and simpler games run flawlessly. With demanding titles, though, you'll need to turn down the detail. The 48 MP main camera has optical stabilisation, which helps with photos at dusk. Alongside are an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, a 5 MP macro and a fourth helper sensor, with a 13 MP camera on the front.
The 5000 mAh battery is a strong point of this model – at launch, Samsung even promised up to two days with moderate use. Wired charging runs at up to 25 W. There's no wireless charging.
What should you look out for before buying?
There's no 3.5 mm headphone jack here, so you'll connect wired headphones via a USB-C adapter or switch to wireless ones. On the Dual SIM version, a microSD card takes the place of the second number. On the single-SIM version the problem disappears, as the microSD card has its own spot in the tray.
Here's how updates stand: the Galaxy A33 5G got One UI 8 with Android 16 in 2025, and that was its last major system update – One UI 9 won't include it. Security patches still arrive, once a quarter, and Samsung promised them for five years from the 2022 launch, so roughly until 2027. After that, banking apps may gradually stop supporting it, so in the long run it's best suited to being a backup phone, a child's first smartphone or a simple device for an older person. If you want a smoother 120 Hz screen and longer support, also take a look at the Galaxy A34 5G.
You can filter Galaxy A33 5G phones by:
- storage – 128 GB or 256 GB;
- RAM – 6 GB or 8 GB;
- colour;
- price range;
- condition.
Use two numbers and want to keep photos on a memory card? Choose the Dual SIM version with 256 GB – then you won't need a microSD card. With one number, the 128 GB version plus a microSD card is enough.
What does the technical check involve?
Before a Galaxy A33 5G goes on sale as refurbished, it goes through a 44-point checklist, including:
- display – touch response, brightness, dead pixels and the condition of the glass;
- battery – health and whether the cell is swollen;
- the four rear cameras and the front selfie camera;
- the under-display fingerprint reader;
- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC;
- the tray and SIM and microSD card detection;
- both speakers, the microphones and the USB-C connector.
Can you trust a refurbished Galaxy A33 5G?
A refurbished Samsung Galaxy A33 5G from SWOPiFY is a used phone that has been checked by SWOPiFY partners and, where needed, repaired. We don't pretend it's new and never suggest that it is.
Every purchase is covered by a warranty. We describe the condition of the casing and battery with one of four grades: Premium, Excellent, Good or Fair. So before you order, you already know whether you'll get a phone with hardly any marks or a cheaper unit with visible scratches.
