Samsung Galaxy A14 used and refurbished

The Galaxy A14 is a phone with a large 6.6-inch Full HD+ screen, a 5000 mAh battery and a 13 MP selfie camera, made with ordinary, everyday tasks in mind. You reply to messages, pay in the shop, film your child at the school play – and that's all you ask of it. Samsung put it on sale in spring 2023.

At SWOPiFY you'll find used and refurbished Samsung Galaxy A14 phones in 64 GB and 128 GB versions, in black, silver and green. SWOPiFY partners give every unit a technical check before it goes on sale, and if something needs fixing, the phone visits the repair shop first.

What can the Galaxy A14 do?

The PLS LCD display is sharp, so long texts, recipes or timetables are easy to read without squinting. It refreshes at 60 Hz, which is standard – animations are fine, though less smooth than on phones with a faster screen. Sound comes from a single speaker, which is perfectly adequate for calls and clips in messaging apps.

The back and frame are plastic, and the cameras stick out at the back as three separate lenses. The phone has no water-resistance rating. Samsung put the fingerprint reader in the power button on the side – it's quick and you don't need to look at the screen. The European version has NFC, so you can use the phone for contactless payments.

Processor, cameras and battery

The version sold in Europe runs on the MediaTek Helio G80 (in other markets Samsung fitted the Exynos 850), usually with 4 GB of RAM. It's a chip for basic tasks: Messenger, the browser, Google Maps and banking work without trouble, but switching between lots of apps sometimes means a short wait, and 3D games need low settings. On the back there are three cameras: a 50 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultra-wide and a 2 MP macro. The ultra-wide comes in handy for group photos and in tight spaces indoors. Selfies are taken with the 13 MP camera.

The 5000 mAh battery gives you a full day of use. Wired charging is 15 W, so topping up from empty takes a while – the easiest thing is to leave the phone on the charger overnight. There's no wireless charging.

What should you check before buying?

The Galaxy A14 has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a separate microSD slot, so you can use two SIM cards and a memory card at the same time. Performance is the limitation: the Helio G80 is a processor for people who don't play games or edit videos. Charging is slower too, as 15 W is less than in newer Samsung models.

Here's how it stands with updates: the Galaxy A14 got two major system updates, the last of which was Android 15 with One UI 7, released in summer 2025. Security patches still arrive once a quarter – Samsung announced them for four years from launch, which means until 2027. For the coming months the phone is therefore still fine for banking, and once support ends it will still serve as a second phone or a device for a child or an older relative. The Galaxy A15 already has an AMOLED screen and support announced until the end of 2028.

You can filter Galaxy A14 units by:

  • storage – 64 GB or 128 GB;
  • RAM – from 4 GB;
  • colour;
  • price range;
  • condition.

If you take plenty of photos with your phone and don't want to keep an eye on free space, choose 128 GB. The 64 GB version is enough for basic apps, especially if your photos go to the cloud or a microSD card.

How does the technical check work?

Before a Galaxy A14 goes on sale as refurbished, it goes through a 44-point checklist, including:

  • screen – touch across the whole surface, brightness, dead pixels, condition of the glass;
  • battery – cell health and no physical damage;
  • the selfie camera and all three rear cameras;
  • fingerprint reader in the power button;
  • connectivity – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC;
  • SIM and microSD card slots;
  • speaker, microphones, 3.5 mm jack and USB-C port.

Can you trust a refurbished Galaxy A14?

A refurbished Samsung Galaxy A14 from SWOPiFY is a used phone that has been checked by SWOPiFY partners and, where needed, repaired too. We don't sell it as new and never suggest that it is.

Your order comes with a warranty. Every unit is assigned one of four condition grades – Premium, Excellent, Good or Fair – describing the appearance of the body and the battery health. You know straight away whether you're buying a phone with barely a mark on it or a cheaper one with visible scratches.

Got an old smartphone you no longer use?

Hand it in through the trade-in programme and its valuation comes off the amount for your new purchase. Instead of posting an advert and answering messages, you sort it all out in one place, and your old phone doesn't end up in a drawer.
