What can the Galaxy S25 FE do?

The Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen has Full HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 1900 nits, so you can read it even in strong sunlight. Scrolling is smooth and colours are vivid. Sound comes from two stereo speakers. The optical fingerprint reader sits under the screen.

The frame is aluminium, and the front and back are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. According to Samsung, the phone can survive 30 minutes underwater at a depth of 1.5 metres. It has NFC, so you can pay contactlessly with it, and it supports eSIM – you can keep a second number without a physical card.

Processor, cameras and battery

The phone is powered by the Exynos 2400, Samsung's ten-core flagship chip from 2024, built on a 4 nm process. Whatever the storage, you get 8 GB of RAM. Messaging apps, several apps open at once, navigation and popular games run without stutters, and Galaxy AI features are on board. On the back there are three cameras: a 50 MP main camera with optical stabilisation, a 12 MP ultra-wide and an 8 MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, also stabilised. The front camera is 12 MP and records in 4K.

The battery is 4900 mAh. Wired charging runs at 45 W, and according to GSMArena it reaches about 65% after half an hour. There's also 15 W wireless charging and reverse charging, which lets you top up your earbuds or smartwatch.

What should you look out for before buying?

The Galaxy S25 FE has no 3.5 mm headphone jack and no microSD slot, so you choose your storage once – when you buy. No charger came in the original box, and to get the full 45 W you need a USB PD PPS compatible power adapter. The screen is Full HD+, not QHD+, which is plenty for films and photos.

Software support is long: Samsung has promised seven major Android updates and seven years of security patches, counted from the launch in September 2025. The phone shipped with Android 16 and One UI 8. Samsung started rolling out stable Android 17 with One UI 9 for it on 28 September 2026 in South Korea, the United States followed in October, and other countries are getting it gradually. Its successor, the Galaxy S26 FE, has the same 4900 mAh battery and 45 W charging, and differs mainly in its newer Exynos 2500 processor.

You can filter Galaxy S25 FE units by:

The 128 GB version is enough if you keep your photos in the cloud and mostly use the phone for messaging and browsing. Since patches are due until 2032 and you can't add a memory card, 256 GB is the safer bet if you plan to keep it for years.
