MacBook Pro (2020) 13″ – Intel Core i5 2.0GHz 4‑core CPU – 16GB RAM – SSD 512GB – QWERTZ (CZ) – Silver Refurbished product

Yes the MacBook Pro 13″ 2020 with an Intel processor can still be a smart purchase, especially if you find it at an attractive price and mainly need a reliable machine for everyday tasks. It offers a high quality Retina display, a comfortable Magic Keyboard and strong build quality. Since it uses an Intel chip rather than Apple Silicon it will not be as futureproof or as fast as newer models, but for regular work, studying or browsing it remains a capable and efficient laptop.

The main difference between Apple Silicon and Intel processors is that Apple Silicon uses ARM based architecture designed by Apple, which focuses on high performance with very low power consumption. This results in faster app responsiveness, cooler operation and much longer battery life. Intel processors rely on x86 architecture, which is powerful but uses more energy and tends to generate more heat. Intel based Macs may still be preferred for certain older or highly specialized software that was built specifically for x86 systems.

The MacBook Pro 13″ from 2020 in its Intel version uses only an Intel processor, as it was released before Apple introduced the M1 chip. This means that this specific model does not include the M1 and runs on traditional x86 architecture.

A refurbished MacBook is a previously used device that has been checked, cleaned and restored by qualified partners so it can be used again safely. It is not brand new, but it undergoes technical inspection and any necessary repairs to make sure it works properly. Because the refurbishment process may involve non-original parts, there is no guarantee that the device will be exactly like a new unit or that it keeps its original water resistance. Choosing a refurbished MacBook lets you get reliable performance at a lower price while reducing electronic waste.
