Samsung Galaxy M21 used and refurbished
The Galaxy M21 is a 2020 phone with a 6000 mAh battery that, with moderate use, can last more than a day. It has a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen with a small notch for the selfie camera at the top, and three cameras on the back, including a 48 MP main. Despite the big battery, it weighs 188 g and is 8.9 mm thick.
At SWOPiFY you'll find used and refurbished Samsung Galaxy M21 phones in the 64 GB version, in black, blue and green. SWOPiFY partners give every unit a technical check, and those that need it are repaired before being listed.
What can the Galaxy M21 do?
Alongside the battery, the AMOLED screen is this model's biggest strength. Blacks are truly black, contrast is high, and a dark theme helps save power. The refresh rate is 60 Hz, so scrolling isn't as smooth as on newer phones, but for reading, looking at photos and watching series it hardly matters. Sound comes from a single speaker.
The front is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, while the back and frame are plastic. The fingerprint reader is on the back, and you can also unlock the phone with your face. NFC support depends on the market version – if you want to pay with your phone, check that line in the unit's specs.
Processor, cameras and battery
It's powered by the Exynos 9611 with 4 GB of RAM, and the built-in storage uses the UFS 2.1 standard, faster than the eMMC found in many budget phones. Day to day that's enough for messaging apps, social media, maps and music, although heavier apps show the processor's age. As for games, you'll mostly be playing the less demanding ones. The main camera is 48 MP, alongside an 8 MP ultra-wide and a 5 MP depth sensor for photos with a blurred background. The phone records 4K video at 30 fps, and the 20 MP front camera takes detailed selfies in good light.
The 6000 mAh battery charges by cable at 15 W. With such a large capacity, that means long charging times, so it's best to plug the phone in overnight. There's no wireless charging.
What should you check before buying?
The good news: the Galaxy M21 has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a microSD slot that's separate from the two SIM cards. The less good news: slow charging and no power adapter in the box – you only get a cable. The screen is 60 Hz, and in 2026 4 GB of RAM lets you keep only a few apps running in the background at once.
Updates are a thing of the past. The Galaxy M21 launched with Android 10 and received two major updates, the last one to Android 12 with One UI 4.1 in 2022. Samsung doesn't release security patches for it, and the model isn't on the list of devices covered by updates. In practice, known vulnerabilities won't be fixed, and banking apps may refuse to work at some point. A phone like this works well as a backup, for an older person who mostly makes calls and looks at photos of the grandchildren, or for basic tasks. The Galaxy M15 5G has an equally big battery and still gets patches.
You can filter Galaxy M21 listings by:
- storage – 64 GB;
- RAM – 4 GB;
- colour – black, blue or green;
- price range;
- condition.
64 GB is the only version available, so if you keep lots of photos and record 4K videos, buy a microSD card straight away. A few minutes of recording at that resolution can take up several gigabytes.
What does the technical check involve?
Before a Galaxy M21 goes on sale as refurbished, it goes through a 44-point checklist, including:
- Super AMOLED screen – touch, brightness, dead pixels and burn-in;
- battery – level of wear and physical condition;
- cameras: main, ultra-wide, depth sensor and front;
- the fingerprint reader on the back of the phone;
- connectivity – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC where present;
- reading of both SIM cards and the microSD card;
- speaker, microphone, USB-C port and 3.5 mm jack.
Can you trust a refurbished Galaxy M21?
A refurbished Samsung Galaxy M21 from SWOPiFY is a used phone – checked by SWOPiFY partners and, when needed, repaired. We don't sell it as new and we never suggest that it is.
Your purchase is covered by a warranty. We assign each unit a condition grade – Premium, Excellent, Good or Fair – with information about the look of the casing and the health of the battery. With a model whose main strength is its battery, pay particular attention to the latter.
