The Samsung Galaxy S21 supports fast charging up to 25 W with USB Power Delivery and PPS. The best choice is to use a USB-C charger that supports PD PPS, which allows you to make full use of Super Fast Charging. Older Samsung chargers with Adaptive Fast Charging will still work, but they only provide around 15 W, so charging takes more time.
To turn off the Samsung Galaxy S21, press and hold the Side button together with the Volume Down button. After a few seconds, the power menu will appear, and you can select “Power off” and confirm. Another option is to swipe down from the top of the screen, open the Quick Settings panel, and tap the power icon in the upper right corner. If the phone becomes unresponsive, hold both buttons for about 10–15 seconds until the screen turns off completely.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 comes with a 4000 mAh battery, which under moderate daily use delivers on average ten to twelve hours of screen-on time. At a 60 Hz refresh rate, the phone can last close to ten hours, while in adaptive 120 Hz mode this drops to around six and a half hours. During heavy use, such as gaming or extended video playback, the battery usually lasts between six and eight hours, and in standby mode the device can stay powered for several days.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 is guaranteed four major Android upgrades, up to Android 15. This means that operating system support will end in 2024. Security updates, however, will continue for five years from launch, lasting until the first quarter of 2026. Samsung has recently moved from monthly to quarterly updates, which are less frequent but remain consistent.
