Product Configuration Requirements
MacBooks
MacBooks offered for sale must be running macOS version 11 or later, provided that the model in question officially supports that version of the operating system. Before listing the device for sale, the Seller is required to completely erase the previous user’s data and restore the device to its factory settings. After restarting, the device should automatically proceed to the initial setup screen, specifically to the country or region selection. This confirms that the reset procedure has been carried out correctly and that the device is ready to be set up by its new owner. The device must not be linked to the previous user’s Apple ID, nor must it have an active Activation Lock, an MDM profile or any other restriction preventing its free configuration and use.
Windows laptops
Windows laptops offered for sale must be fully reset and equipped with a legitimate and active Windows 11 licence, unless the listing explicitly states a different operating system version or that no operating system is included. The seller is obliged to provide a valid product key or to verify the correct activation of the digital licence or OEM key assigned to the device. The operating system must be installed in a manner that ensures its legitimacy, full functionality and the ability to download official updates. Upon restarting, the device should automatically proceed to the Windows initial setup screen, known as the Windows Out-of-the-Box Experience (OOBE). This confirms that the system has been installed correctly and that the device is ready for initial configuration by the new user. The device must not contain any active accounts belonging to the previous user, administrative profiles, organisational locks, MDM profiles or any other security measures that restrict its free configuration and use.
iPhones and iPads
iPhones and iPads offered for sale must be completely wiped, disconnected from the previous user’s Apple ID, and free of Activation Lock and other security measures preventing their free configuration. The devices must be running the latest officially supported version of iOS or iPadOS for the relevant model, available on the date of sale. It is permissible to install an earlier version of the operating system only if it was released no earlier than two months prior to the date of the Customer’s purchase of the device and remains officially supported by Apple. Upon restarting, the device should automatically proceed to the initial setup screen, including the welcome screen and the language or region selection screen.
Android smartphones and tablets
Android smartphones and tablets offered for sale must be fully reset to factory settings and must have the latest version of Android officially released and supported for the relevant model by the manufacturer. The installed version of the operating system must be up to date as at the date of sale, taking into account any available system updates and security updates. The seller is obliged to remove all data belonging to the previous user, Google accounts, manufacturer accounts, screen locks, Factory Reset Protection (FRP), Samsung Account locks, Xiaomi Account locks, Huawei ID locks and any other similar security measures. The device must also be free of MDM profiles, administrative profiles, carrier locks and any other security measures preventing the new owner from freely configuring the device. Upon restarting, the device should automatically proceed to the initial system setup screen, specifically to the language or region selection. The device must not require the previous user’s login details nor have any restrictions preventing its full use.
Prohibition of unauthorised software modifications
It is prohibited to install unofficial, modified or non-model-specific versions of the operating system on the device. It is prohibited to unlock the bootloader, root the device, install non-standard system software, circumvent the manufacturer’s security measures, or make any other changes that may affect the security, stability, ability to install official updates, or the device’s compatibility with the manufacturer’s services.
Prohibition on tampering with the device’s technical data
It is prohibited to make any deliberate modifications or alterations that could mislead the Customer as to the actual technical condition of the device, its specifications, origin, identity or usage history. This prohibition includes, in particular, altering, overwriting, deleting or falsifying the IMEI number or serial number, concealing the device’s true identity or origin, tampering with the battery health indicator, including ‘Battery Health’, artificially inflating the capacity, number of cycles, performance or other battery parameters, as well as tampering with information regarding the device’s components, repairs or service history. Any other actions aimed at presenting the device as being in a better technical condition than is actually the case are also prohibited.
Compliance with the device’s actual condition
All products offered via the Platform must comply with the information provided in the listing and with their actual technical specifications. The Seller is obliged to provide accurate, complete and non-misleading information concerning, in particular, the model and variant of the device, the IMEI number or serial number, the operating system version, the technical condition, the condition of the battery, any repairs carried out, components replaced, active locks or restrictions, as well as the origin and history of the device, where such information is required by the Platform.
